I.O.U.는 I Owe You.(당신 덕분이예요.)의 머리글자로서,
혹자는 이 곡을 부른 여성가수의 음색을 드라마틱하다고 평하기도 한다.
어떻게 들으면 무척 감각적이기도 하다. 그녀의 이름은 Carry.
현재 독일 최고의 듀오 Carry & Ron의 여성멤버이다.
이 곡은 찬바람 부는 가을이나 눈내리는 겨울 분위기에 어울린다.
하얀 눈을 맞으며, 혹은 낙엽을 밟으며 이 노래를 부를 수 있다면 더없이 낭만적일 것이다.
혼성 듀오 Carry & Ron은 1988년에 결성되었으며,
컨트리계의 선두주자인 Michael Holm이 발굴하여 데뷔시켰다.
"I.O.U"는 동명 앨범에 수록된 곡으로 정통 발라드이다.
리듬 앤 블루스, 록, 팝이 배합된 이른바 크로스오버(Crossover)인 이 앨범에는,
경쾌한 컨트리곡인 "That Girl(That Boy)"을 비롯하여
"Sarah Don't Cry", "My Day In The Sun" 등의 곡들이 수록되어 있다.
